PROSPECT POOL - RULES AND REGULATIONS

The following rules and regulations have been established for the benefit of all users of the facility to assure a safe operation and provide an enjoyable recreational opportunity.

We take the safety of our guests seriously, and to ensure a secure environment, we have security on site that monitors the pool area diligently and remains vigilant at all times.

• No one is permitted in the pool unless it is officially open, and a lifeguard is on duty.
• All persons entering the pool area must pay the appropriate admission fee.
• All patrons will be issued a Prospect Pool identification badge or Pool Pass.
• Management and staff have the authority to enforce all pool rules.  (Patrons who repeatedly violate the rules may be expelled from the facility and barred from future entry.)

• No food or beverage will be permitted to be brought into the pool.  (Glass containers, alcoholic beverages, drugs, and pets are not permitted.)  Service animals are permitted in the pool area, but not in the pool itself.
• Employees are the only persons authorized to be in staff areas, filter room, chemical storage areas and offices.  
• Smoking and/or Vaping is NOT permitted within the pool grounds.
• The pool may be closed and cleared for a safety check or to apply chemicals.
• All patrons in the pool area must be attired in swimming apparel.  Street clothes are not allowed in the pool (clothing such as cut-offs, gym shorts and underwear are not permitted).

• No person within the pool area shall behave in a manner that jeopardizes the safety and health of themself or others.
• Running, rowdy or rough play, pushing, dunking, wrestling, splashing, yelling, diving or jumping without caution, snapping towels and acts which would endanger any patron are prohibited.
• Spitting, blowing your nose, urinating, or defecating into the pool is prohibited.  Also gum chewing is not permitted anywhere in the pool area.
• Vulgarities and being disrespectful of lifeguards, cashiers, managers, or any member of the Prospect Pool staff is not permitted and may result in expulsion from the pool.   

• Infants/children not toilet trained and adults who are incontinent must wear a clean diaper or swim diaper covered by separate rubber/vinyl pants, which fits snugly around legs and waist.
• Children under the age of twelve (12) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  If this is not possible, a permission slip may be obtained from the pool cashier authorizing an adult 18 years or older permission to bring the child.  
• Persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be permitted in the pool area.
• Any injury occurring in or around the pool must be reported to Prospect Pool staff or management.
• Persons having a skin disease, open sores, nasal or ear discharge or who are wearing a bandage to cover an open (unhealed) wound will not be permitted in the pool.

• During electrical storms patrons must vacate the pool and seek shelter inside the bathhouse.  The pool will not open until 30 minutes after the last sound of thunder.  
• During periods of cool weather, rain, lack of attendance or staffing shortages the pool may not open or it may close early.  This is at the discretion of the Pool Manager or City staff.
